Slow Cooker Beef and Cabbage

2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces

In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef stew meat and brown on all sides, about 5 minutes. Transfer the beef to the slow cooker.

In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed and sauté the onions and garlic until softened and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes. Transfer the onions and garlic to the slow cooker.

Add the chopped cabbage and sliced carrots to the slow cooker.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the beef and vegetables in the slow cooker.
